Grants
The Trustees annually award community grants to local organizations, and education grants to local students. Education Grants The applicant must be a full time resident of the City of New Castle. If the applicant is a dependent, the parent or guardian must also be a full time resident of the City of New Castle. Applications must be completed and received in the Trustees’ office on or before July 1. An applicant must be a senior in high school or a recent high school graduate who is entering or attending an accredited undergraduate college or university as a full-time student in the coming September. The applicant must have a letter of acceptance from a college or university. Funded applicants from previous years who continue to be a student in good standing are invited to re-apply for grant funding if available. Community Grants Competitive grants are evaluated by the Outreach Committee, and voted on by the whole Board of Trustees. Residents of New Castle may apply (click here to see map of town boundaries).
